Yes, entry to Yarrabah Music and Cultural Festival is FREE but requires you to register for an electronic ticket for entry into the festival zone.  

Access to the main stage performances and various cultural experiences comes with your ticket, but Cultural Workshops (such as weaving, shield-making and spear-making) are available at a cost. These workshops can be booked through this website with your festival registration 

Yarrabah is only a 45-minute drive from Cairns. There will be parking available, as well as return buses running from Cairns and Mount Sheridan. Return bus fares are $20 and can be booked through this website with your festival registration. 

You can book your spot on a return bus through this website. A return ticket costs $20, with pick-up points at Mantra Trilogy (Cairns) and Mt Sheridan Shopping Centre (Mt Sheridan). Capacity is limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. The schedules are: 

Cairns-Yarrabah 

  • Pick-up point: Mantra Trilogy 
  • Departure times: 13:00 and 15:00  

Mt SheridanYarrabah 

  • Pick-up point: Mt Sheridan Shopping Centre 
  • Departure times: 13:20 and 15:20 

Depart Yarrabah (POST EVENT) 

  • Approx 21:00  

There is no camping at Yarrabah Music and Cultural Festival, nor is there available accommodation at YarrabahUpon registration to the Festival on this websiteyou can receive 15% off at Mantra Trilogy Cairns using the promo code QMF2019. 

Yes, Yarrabah Music & Cultural Festival is a family-friendly event welcoming kids of all ages. It is also an alcohol-free event hosted in an Alcohol Restricted community. 

It is encouraged to support the food stalls at the Festival which will feature a variety of local and Cairns-based providers, but you are welcome to bring snacks. However, alcohol is strictly prohibited on site as Yarrabah is an Alcohol Restricted Community.

Gates open for Yarrabah Music & Cultural Festival at 11.30am.

There is a phone network service at Yarrabah, however coverage on Jilara Oval may be weak. We suggest organising a meeting point for when you arrive!
